I often find that it is in saying what I do not stand for that people realise I am or am not a good fit for them, so here you go.
I am not about:
- Facebook or any social media being the main way or only way for you to grow your service based business. It usually isn’t the answer, or if it is you are probably asking the wrong question. Look, I know it works for some, so if this is what you think you need, I have just saved you a lot of time. I can just tell you that for most service businesses this is one of the hardest and most expensive ways to get new clients to come to you (and the most energy sapping too). It is also one of the hardest and most expensive methods for converting prospects into paying clients.
- Teaching you to hard sell your services to someone who doesn’t want them or isn’t in the right place to fully benefit from them.
- Working with a service business owner who has a ‘vague interest’ in growing their business. I am driven by the results that my clients achieve. What I share with my clients works, but if they won’t do their part this just won’t work for me or for them.
- Working with you if you really do not have any expertise to share with your clients. I work with service business owners who really know their onions. I cannot stand these people who pop up all over the internet telling you that you can start a service based business without having any expertise. Come on! I teach people who have proven expertise to sell more of their services and to have more fun. So if you don’t have any expertise and you don’t like fun, this is not the right place for you.
