Google Ads works so well because it is ‘attraction marketing’.
Attraction marketing works like this:
Someone decides that they need the service which you provide. They head to Google (these days), type in the name of your service and where they live and if your website appears, they click on the link and get in touch with you.
Simple, isn’t it?
The key factor is that the person looking for your services has made the internal decision to find someone and committed to finding someone to help them which is they they head to the internet (usually Google) to find you.
This person has ‘buyer intent’ which is absolutely critical.
This is most definitely NOT the case when someone heads to facebook and is bombarded with advertisements for services they have not gone looking for and have no interest in. This is precisely why facebook delivers low cost but very low quality leads for service business owners.

5 Questions To Ask Your PPC Consultant
If you are considering hiring a PPC Consultant, what are the key questions that you must ask to ensure you obtain the best results for your investment?
1. What Length Of Contract Will You Be Asked To Sign By The PPC Consultant?
If you are already running a Google Ads campaign, any PPC Consultant worth their salt should know that they can dramatically improve its performance for you.
Therefore, if they suggest a 3 or 6 month contract, what does this suggest about their belief in being able to achieve results for you?
All of my clients sign up on a one month recurring contract. They can stop working with me within one month without any difficulties.
I believe this shows the courage of my convictions.
I also know that it puts my skin in the game with my client as there is so much work to do at the beginning of a ppc campaign or when taking over a new client.
2. What About A Signing On Fee?
I do love a PPC Consultant who charges a sign on fee. We are not footballers, are we? I wish, but alas no.
As PPC consultants we live and breathe on results.
I haven’t charged a sign on fee since around 2008 now.
Again, I like to have skin in the game with my clients.
3. Do They Just Talk About Google Ads?4. Time Advising You On Other Vital Matters?
When sounding out a new PPC Consultant, how long do they spend advising you on other vital aspects of a successful Google Ads campaign?
Google Ads is one small part of a profitable PPC Campaign, the others include:
- The pre-selling of your expertise, not only with Google Ads, but also on your website;
- The landing page content, reviews, proof of expertise, and all the other elements which are crucial to give the prospect the confidence to hand over their contact details;
- How you handle that first contact with the prospect;
- How you follow up with each prospect; and
- How you consistently measure and improve all of the items above and your key performance indicators.
5. Do You Like Your PPC Consultant?
The right PPC Consultant can change your business for good.
One of my utter loves for my job is seeing the change in my clients when they go from wondering where the next client is coming from, to growing their business, taking more time away from their business and enjoying their life a whole lot more.
