What are Talking Calls To Action and why do you need them?

Ultimately, if you want more enquiries from people already finding your website, you MUST have Talking Calls To Action on your website.

But why do so many people not use them?

I can only imagine it is because they have not done as much testing as I have over the years.

Managing an online spend of around £2 million per annum online, I am a little obsessed when it comes to ensuring that I and my clients get a decent return on investment on their spend.

So I test and I test and I test, which led me to define “talking calls to action”.

I will explain them shortly, but first, let’s look at what most people do on websites…. with normal calls to action.

Normal Calls To Action

This is what normally happens.

There is some content on the page and then the page comes to an abrupt ending, then this happens:

Your website has gone from talking and engaging with a visitor to simply shoving a button in front of them.

No dialogue.

No encouragement to contact.

No reassurance that getting in touch will not cost them and will not obligate them, which may be a concern to them, so it needs mentioning in the copy.

Just an abrupt page ending.

This doesn’t work.

You need to keep the flow of conversation going and keep talking to them.

You need a Talking Call To Action.

A “talking call to action” allows your contents to read your lovely content, then, without shouting with a big button, tells them how they can reach out to you to discover more.
