I have a friend who is a business coach who asks simply brilliant question on LinkedIn.
Each question generates a large volume of comments. His following increases week on week and many of his followers become his clients.

As living proof that this works, my email last week was about Steve Jobs. My open rate for that email was 46.4%, meaning that 46 out of every 100 people opened the email. Now I would rather it was 100%, but when you know that the industry average is around 10%, you can see that this method does indeed work.
